Situated in the historic market town of Appleby-in-Westmorland, on the edge of the beautiful Lake District Howgill House is traditionally an old 17th Century farmhouse, which has been a family run B&B for the last 50 years …where no request is too much.

Howgill House gives a friendly welcome and personal service to all guests, which are attracted from all over the world and is popular with walkers, cyclists, motor bikers and those who are just escaping to the country.

Howgill House is surrounded by its colourful gardens and has a large secure look up for any guests who should need it. Free Wifi is available. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities.

We are a traditional bed and breakfast with a shared lounge (open fire, TV with Sky, Wifi) & dining room for you to enjoy.
